YMCA
Printed Problems
Several YMCA systems in the Philadelphia area were frustrated.
Members were clamoring for up to date online program information.
Printed mailings were regularly sent, but they would become
outdated within weeks due to changes in the various programs
and schedules.
The YMCAs knew they had to make a change. So they called
Neptune Moon.
Online Answers
Neptune Moon stepped in to create custom-built backend
applications to meet the needs of the YMCAs. The applications
included:
- Dynamic program and event listings for
all branches
- Display of current sessions
- Promotion of upcoming sessions two weeks prior
to the open registration period
- Rollover functionality to easily input recurring
activities
- Advanced search functionality for visitors to
search on programs, times, and locations
- Tiered backend permission system to allow administrators
to spread the data input tasks among staff members
- Ability to export a session's program information
into a Word document for use in printed materials
Increased Response
The new functionality of the web sites increased visitor
traffic and involvement exponentially. The community gave
an enthusiastic response – both verbally, and in
increased participation in programs and events. |
